This program is designed for the individual who has chosen to utilize the 1911 platform as a primary weapons system. This program will involve both classroom and live-fire range time. Upon completion the participant will have been exposed to the basic operation of the single action weapons platform.
Topics covered:
- History of the 1911
- Basic safety and the laser rule
- Basic Overview and Operation of the 1911 Platform
- Operational level nomenclature, breakdown and assembly
- Operational level maintenance and lubrication
- The 5 – point draw and basic combat shooting fundamentals
- Reloading and stoppage clearing
- Basic care and maintenance
Duration: 8-10 hours
Tuition: $175.00
Ammunition: 200 rounds
Equipment Required: 1911 pistol or other semi-automatic pistol, master side (OTW) on the waist holster, magazine pouch and minimum of 3 magazines. Wrap around eye and ear protection and hat with a brim please contact the office.
