This course of instruction is designed to provide the participant with the necessary knowledge, skills and attitude to properly utilize a pistol within a close quarters environment. This program represents the absolute minimum skill, which anyone who carries a handgun for personal defense or security must know.
Topics covered:
- Weapon safety, handling and nomenclature.
- The laser rule
- Drawing from the holster
- Controlled pairs vs. hammers
- Reloads & stoppage clearing
- Handgun deployment while seated
- Cover vs. concealment
- One hand shooting
- The effects of a projectile on living tissues
- Engagement of multiple targets
- Transitioning to the Secondary or back-up weapon
- Alternate shooting positions

Tuition: $175.00
Ammunition: 300 rounds pistol ammunition
Equipment required: (Note: a discount of 10% will be given on all ammunition if purchased through Grey Wolf for this course). Semi-automatic pistol, master side (OTW) on the waist holster, magazine pouch and minimum of 3 magazines. Wrap around eye protection, ear protection and brimmed hat.
